How It Works
Our 5-Step Installation Process
πŸ“
Security by design, not afterthought
We start with a thorough site survey and dead-zone analysis before recommending a single camera. Many installers just fix cameras on every corner without planning coverage angles, overlaps, or blind spots. We design the system first, then install it β€” so you get maximum coverage with minimum equipment.
1
Site Survey & Coverage Planning
We walk the property, identify entry points, blind spots, and high-risk zones, then produce a camera placement plan showing angles and field of view for every unit.
2
System Design & Quotation
We recommend the right cameras, recorder, storage capacity, and access control system based on your property type, number of users, and monitoring requirements.
3
Cable Routing & Infrastructure
All cables are routed concealed through walls, ceilings, or conduits. Surface trunking is used only where internal routing is not possible and neatly finished.
4
Equipment Mounting & Configuration
Cameras are mounted, angled, and focused. NVR/DVR is configured with recording schedules, motion detection, and remote access. Smart locks and access panels are programmed.
5
Testing, Training & Handover
Full system test conducted. Remote viewing set up on your phone. We walk you through live feeds, playback, alert settings, and user management before signing off.

"MKW Global installed a 16-camera IP CCTV system across our factory floor and three entrance points, plus fingerprint access control for the server room and production area. Everything was cabled concealed, set up for remote viewing, and handed over with full training. Zero issues after six months."

Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How many cameras do I need for my home or office?
For a standard terrace house, 4–6 cameras typically cover the front, back, side gates, and driveway. For a shophouse or small office, 4–8 cameras are common. Larger commercial premises and factories vary based on floor area, entry points, and operational zones. We size the system after a site survey β€” not based on a standard package.
Can I view my cameras on my phone when I'm overseas?
Yes β€” all our IP camera systems support remote viewing via mobile apps (Hik-Connect, DMSS, iVMS-4500) on iOS and Android. You can view live feeds, play back recordings, and receive motion alerts from anywhere in the world, as long as the NVR has an active internet connection. We set this up and test it before handover.
How long do CCTV recordings store?
Storage duration depends on the number of cameras, recording resolution, and hard drive capacity. A typical 4-camera 2MP system with a 2TB HDD stores approximately 15–30 days of continuous recording. With H.265+ compression and motion-triggered recording only, this can extend to 60+ days. We calculate the exact storage requirement based on your camera count and retention needs.
What's the difference between IP cameras and analogue CCTV?
IP (network) cameras transmit data digitally over a network cable or Wi-Fi, offering much higher resolution (2MP–8MP), remote access, smart features like face detection and number plate recognition, and easier scalability. Analogue CCTV uses coaxial cable and offers lower resolution β€” HD-TVI and HDCVI have improved this but IP is still superior for new installations. We recommend IP systems for all new setups.
Can you upgrade or expand my existing CCTV system?
In most cases, yes. If your existing NVR/DVR has spare channels and the cabling supports it, we can add cameras without replacing the whole system. If the recorder is at capacity or the cameras are outdated, we can quote a partial or full replacement. We assess compatibility before recommending anything.
Do fingerprint door locks work reliably in Malaysia's humidity?
Yes β€” the smart door locks we install are rated for humid tropical environments. The fingerprint sensors use semiconductor or optical technology that handles moisture well. We also recommend models with RFID card backup for situations where fingerprint recognition may be temporarily affected (wet hands, minor cuts). All locks come with physical key emergency override as a failsafe.
